MK Morts go to Boise for the 4th

Hello everyone! The little boys and I went to Boise for the 4th of July week and had a great time with Grandpa Bob, Grandma Joan, and all our cousins and friends. Mike joined us for the weekend so I was glad for the extra hands on the flight home. Here are some pics. Unfortunately, I always forget to take more pics so we didn't get any of the boys with their cousins. Next time, next time...

First stop, the Boise Zoo with Grandma Joan. It was hot, hot, hot but the boys didn't seem to mind. Jake was enamored with the butterfly exhibit and told everyone how a butterfly landed on mom's arm.

The boys aren't too much into water sports but they did enjoy the kiddie portion of Cousin Geri's pool. Here are some pics of them trying on the goggles. Ben looked hilarious!

Jake got to go to the race track with Grandpa Bob and Dad. He loved it and came home talking about the fast cars and crashes. He also watched the original Herbie movie "The Love Bug" for the first time while in Boise. He hasn't stopped pretending that race cars are crashing and losing tires ever since. We went to the grocery store and had a car shopping cart. Jake kept having to get out and go get his lost tire to put back on. What a boy!

Well, I hope you enjoy my first attempt at blogging! More pics and stories to come as we have more adventures. The boys are growing up fast and doing new things everyday so I am sure there will be something to post soon!
